The Dark Lady of the Sonnets

Saturday, June 10, 2017 - 6:45pm

The Pigeon Creek Shakespeare Company will present George Bernard Shaw’s The Dark Lady of the Sonnets in a production featuring performance of Shakespeare’s sonnets and live music devised by the company. The Dark Lady of the Sonnets follows William Shakespeare as he is caught in a triangle between Queen Elizabeth I and the mysterious Dark Lady, who both serve as inspiration for his plays and poetry.

The Pigeon Creek Shakespeare Company is Michigan’s only year-round, touring, professional Shakespeare company. Pigeon Creek employs staging practices from Shakespeare’s own time period to create an intimate relationship between actors and audience. The company has a reputation for engaging, lively, audience-interactive performances.  Pigeon Creek is excited to partner with Sweet Tea Shakespeare to bring its actors to Fayetteville audiences.

Ticket prices include $15 general admission; $13 seniors and military; $8 students. "As You Like It" preshow begins at 6:45 pm and the play begins at 7:30 pm. Concessions on site. For more information and tickets, visit
