2:00pm to 3:30pm

This September marks the 240 anniversary of the Battle of Saratoga. The Battle of Saratoga was the turning point of the Revolutionary War, and it also made Benedict Arnold a least for a while. Dr. Matt Farina will give a one and a half hour presentation entitled the Saratoga Campaign of 1777. Dr. Farina grew up in New York State, having learned about the Battle of Saratoga. After spending winters in North Carolina he began to learn about such battles as Cowpens, King's Mountain, and Guilford Court House. Now as a permanent resident he has come to realize the mirror image that exist in his new home state. The event is free and open to the public.
