The Gilbert Theater is back with us for Hallowe'en Revels 2019! “Invoking the Spirits” is the theme for this year’s Hallowe’en play. Come enjoy a spirited visit to the 1897 Poe House and witness spooky vignettes complete with a few ghosts! This is a unique opportunity to experience historical theater in an actual historic home. (For a more detailed look at the Poe House and family history, attend a tour during regular museum hours.) Tours will run every 20 minutes beginning at 6:00 pm with the last tour departing at 10:00 pm each evening. There will be an actor's intermission from 8:00-8:20 pm. Tour space is limited to 15 participants per tour. Admission for the tours is $5 plus the online processing fee. Tickets go on sale September 7 at https://bit.ly/2ZqXYeZ, or can be purchased in person at the museum. This project is supported by the Arts Council in part by contributions from businesses and individuals, and through grants from the City of Fayetteville, Cumberland County and the North Carolina Arts Council, an agency of the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources. Matching funds are being provided by the Museum of the Cape Fear Historical Complex Foundation, Inc.
