Summer History Camp 2023: Pirates!

Campers will set sail for adventure on the coast of North Carolina! Hear about fierce pirates like Blackbeard and Stede Bonnet and learn how to talk and sing like a pirate!

  • Create a pirate ship and flag
  • Learn about food and customs of pirates
  • Hunt for treasure
  • And so much more!

Hours for the camp are 9:00am - noon Monday-Friday. Registration begins Tuesday, May 2, during normal museum hours at 10am. Parents must register in person and present proof of the child’s age along with registration fee to reserve a space. The cost is $30 per child. Registration for camp is on a first come, first serve basis to the first 30 campers with returned completed application and fee. Applications will be available online at our website soon!
