On June 1, the museum will join the other six NC Regional History Museums in adopting standardized operating hours. We will be open Tuesday to Saturday, 10am-5pm (Closed Sundays)

Join us on December 3 from 1-5 as we celebrate the season with "Holiday Jubilee at the 1897 Poe House." This year's event features a free concert by the Coventry Carolers and the Fayetteville Sound Barbershop Chorus performing seasonal favorites for visitors on the Poe House front porch. Other highlights of this event include a cooking demonstration on the 1902 Glenwood stove, and of course the beautifully decorated Poe House. Admission is FREE. Donations are gladly accepted! Santa and Mrs. Claus will be back to pose for photos and tell Christmas stories.

"Trick or Treat at the Poe House" features Halloween fun for kids 12 and under. Over the past several years, attendance for the Trick or Treat program has annually increased, reaching more than 1,000 guests and cementing it as a family favorite Halloween event. Children attending this event explore Victorian Halloween in the Poe House, play vintage carnival games, enjoy a Halloween dance party with a local DJ, and witness balloon twisting and magic tricks with Joy the Clown.
